Krobo Glass Beaded Necklace.

This an Ashanti Krobo necklace made from traditionally powder glass beads. Krobo powder glass beads are generally made in West Africa, specifically Ghana. These African beads are made by the Ashanti and Krobo tribes, and date back to the early 20th century.

Krobo beads are made from powder glass, which come from finely ground glass most commonly made out of recycled broken bottles and other scrap glasses, fired in clay kilns. This beautiful traditional Ghanaian trade bead necklace embodies the spirit of the Ashanti, their history and their immense pride of love of their country.

This adjustable piece is handcrafted from colorful glass beads.  Adjustable. Approximately 46”.
