Collection: The Kemetic Collection

The Ancient Egyptians viewed the Ankh as the symbol of life and was incorporated in every day life along with the governing principle of Ma’at, or truth, order, justice, balance, righteousness, reciprocity and harmony in Kemet (Ancient Egypt). An integral part of life was the Nile Valley, which extended from Uganda all the way through Nubia, Sudan, to Kemet and Kush (modern day Ethiopia).

Today we are left with abundance of texts, temples and other markers of Kemetic and Nile Valley life.  When you wear the Ankh, you are wearing a sign and symbol of the origins of civilization and embracing the culture of a great world civilization, from whom Greeks and others studied and gained their knowledge.  As you enjoy these pieces, remember a Kemetic phrase, "Ankh, Udja, Seneb," which means "Life, Prosperity, Health."
