Baki Black Braided Leather and Cowry Shell Bracelet.

Cowrie shells were traditionally used in African trade as currency or barter and today still hold a special place in culture and spirituality. They also represent fertility and are used as a protection against the evil eye.

As an ancient form of currency, they were used on almost every continent. Most popularly known for their use across West Africa and the Continent. The cowry shells on this bracelet are beautifully woven into black braided leather.
