Assorted East African Kitenge Chokers.

Color and textile play an important part of African culture. Whether it is Bogolan (mud cloth) from Mali, colorful batiks, Kitenge fabric, Kente cloth from Ghana, Ankara cloth or flax that was worn by Egyptians, the significance of fabric cannot be understated. Kitenge fabric is typically worn by Central, East and West African women.

It is traditionally worn draped around the head, chest or waist, or as a baby sling. This unique necklace is made from Kitenge fabric and will be a beautiful, colorful addition to your wardrobe.

Simple clasp closure, 22”. Made in Kenya.
